The initial consultation closed on 6 September. We are hosting two information events in October. These will provide an opportunity for the local community and key stakeholders to view information about the feedback we have received and further information about the proposals, speak with the project team and ask any questions they may have. The details of these events are below.

The information events are taking place on:

Board 1: Welcome. This board presents an overview of the proposals and a timeline of project development and delivery.

Board 2: The proposals. This board gives details of the proposals, including the emerging Vision and Development Objectives, and the key components of the development.

Board 3: Site location and context. This board gives an overview of the site, showing its location and key routes in the area.

Board 4: The planning application. This board details the outline planning application process and how the redevelopment aligns to Local Planning Policy.

Board 5: Feedback from engagement (1). Boards 5 and 6 outline the feedback received from the public and stakeholder engagement that took place from June to September 2019. This board focuses on the facilities planned for the site.

Board 6: Feedback from engagement (2).This board categorises the comments received as part of the engagement into eight themes.

Board 7: Transport and connectivity (1). This board gives an overview of the approach taken to assess current transport and connectivity and a map showing existing problem areas that have been identified during our technical work. Traffic counts were carried out to inform the Transport Assessment. The details and location of these counts is available here.

Board 8: Transport and connectivity (2).This board details the proposals for mitigating the development’s impact on Ripon’s transport network. It includes responses to common suggestions made through the engagement process.

Board 9: Further Feedback. This board includes responses to common comments received through the engagement process.

Board 10: The emerging masterplan. This board sets out the emerging masterplan for the whole site.

Board 5: Connectivity and movement. This board looks at proposed connections within the site and to nearby neighbourhoods, including routes for those with disabilities, cycling routes, walking routes, driving routes and public transport.

Board 6: Creating a new community.This board gives an overview of the proposed uses on the site, including housing, and the guidance that will inform the design’s quality and character.

Board 7: Landscape and ecology. This board looks at how the site’s existing environment will be preserved and enhanced, including provision of park, open space and facilities for exercise and sport.

Board 8: The emerging masterplan. This board sets out the emerging masterplan for the whole site.

Board 9: Summary. This board explains what will be included with the planning application, how to feedback and what will happen next.
